| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Katherine Sarahan has ably served her fellow Texans |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | as an aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner during |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Sarahan has provided |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | which have included conducting legislative research, assisting |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | with office communications, and helping track bills regarding |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | energy, the environment, transportation, and housing; in addition |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | to gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | has learned more about the legislative process and the issues |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Sarahan is currently pursuing a degree in |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | political science and Spanish at Southwestern University, and she |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | is set to graduate in May 2023; she previously completed an |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | internship with U.S. Congress member Lloyd Doggett and was a fellow |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | for the Watson Eckhardt Organizing Academy; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commend Katherine Sarahan for her service as a |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all |

| 29 | 29 | | her endeavors; and, be it further |
