| 10 | 10 | | on April 25 and 26 in San Antonio, Ms. Archer and Ms. Rose delivered |

| 11 | 11 | | an exceptional performance; dominating their opponents as they |

| 12 | 12 | | advanced through the bracket, the Amarillo duo won their |

| 13 | 13 | | quarterfinal and semifinal matches in straight sets over opponents |

| 14 | 14 | | from Frisco Lebanon Trail and Boerne Champion High Schools to set up |

| 15 | 15 | | a championship battle against Frisco Liberty High School; |

| 16 | 16 | | demonstrating great resolve after dropping the first set, |

| 17 | 17 | | Ms. Archer and Ms. Rose staged an impressive rally, emerging |

| 18 | 18 | | triumphant by the score of 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 to clinch the 5A gold |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, With the state championship victory, Ms. Archer and |

| 21 | 21 | | Ms. Rose compiled an outstanding 37-1 record in doubles for the |

| 22 | 22 | | spring season and wrapped up a remarkable 66-1 ledger for the |

| 23 | 23 | | 2022-2023 fall and spring seasons combined; Ms. Archer became a |

| 24 | 24 | | three-time state champion for her high school career, having |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | previously collected gold medals in singles and mixed doubles; and |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |

| 27 | 27 | | high school tennis players, Eleanor Archer and Morgan Rose have |

| 28 | 28 | | ably represented their school and community, and they will cherish |

| 29 | 29 | | their memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to |

| 31 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
