| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The passing of Michelle Therese Adjemian of El Paso |

| 6 | 6 | | on November 16, 2022, at the age of 39, brought an immeasurable loss |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | to her family and friends; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Bertha and Michael Adjemian, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Michelle Adjemian was born on April 21, 1983; she was a committed |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | champion for individuals with disabilities, and she tirelessly |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | advocated for improvements to accessibility amenities; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Adjemian gave generously of her time and talents |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | to serve the local chapter of the National Spinal Cord Injury |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Association as well as the City Accessibility Advisory Committee; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | she further distinguished herself as board president of Volar |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Center for Independent Living, as president of the Sun Metro |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Accessibility Advisory Committee, and as a peer support specialist |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | for the Children's Disabilities Information Coalition; in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | addition, she organized numerous meetings, events, donation |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | drives, and other initiatives of the Cielo Vista Neighborhood |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Association; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Although Michelle Adjemian is deeply missed, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | memories of her kindness, her strength, and her dedication to her |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | family and her fellow citizens remain to comfort and inspire those |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Michelle Therese |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Adjemian and extend heartfelt sympathy to her loved ones; and, be it |
