| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Mo Jenkins has ably served her fellow Texans in her |

| 6 | 6 | | role as legislative director in the office of State Representative |

| 7 | 7 | | Abel Herrero during the 88th Legislature; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The resourcefulness and initiative demonstrated by |

| 9 | 9 | | Ms. Jenkins have earned the appreciation of her colleagues, and her |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | contributions to carrying forth Representative Herrero's |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | legislative agenda have helped address issues facing citizens |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | across the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A legislative aide for Representative Herrero |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | during the 87th Regular Session, Ms. Jenkins took on the role of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | legislative director in October 2022 and has been an invaluable |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | leader in the office; she is a graduate of Texas A&M |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | University-Corpus Christi, where she became the first Black and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | transgender student to be elected as the student body president; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed her |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | duties as legislative director with skill and dedication, and she |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 23 | 23 | | therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby commend Mo Jenkins for her service as |

| 27 | 27 | | Herrero and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
