| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Words cannot fully express the heartache felt by the |

| 6 | 6 | | family of Keren Ella Shalom Leal of Georgetown, who passed away on |

| 7 | 7 | | January 5, 2023, at the age of 12; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in Georgetown on May 17, 2010, Ella Leal was the |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | beloved daughter of Janis and Roland Leal; she grew up with the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | companionship and affection of nine older siblings, Emilie, Elise, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Caroline, Abigail, Luke, Ava, Josiah, Caleb, and Eden, and was |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | further blessed with many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | nephews; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Creative and imaginative, Ella could often be found |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | exploring the outdoors and letting her curiosity about the world |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | guide her; in addition to devoting herself to her studies as a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | homeschool student, she had a passion for drawing, painting, and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | other artistic endeavors, and she also loved animals, especially |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | horses and dogs; she shared with her family a deep commitment to her |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | faith; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Although the loss of this unique and vibrant young |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | girl is difficult to bear, Ella Leal brought a light into the lives |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | of her loved ones that can never be extinguished, and they will |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | forever keep her memory close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Keren Ella Shalom Leal |
