| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Bulldogs began their journey to the title with |

| 10 | 10 | | an undefeated regular-season run that yielded the district |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | championship; continuing to excel in the playoffs, they bested |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Pittsburg, Van Alstyne, Gilmer, and Texarkana Pleasant Grove High |

| 13 | 13 | | Schools to reach the state semifinals; in that contest, Carthage |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | clinched a thrilling 42-35 decision over Glen Rose High by scoring a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | touchdown with only eight seconds remaining; with the win, the team |

| 16 | 16 | | punched its ticket to the state championship game for the 10th time |

| 17 | 17 | | in school history; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, On December 16, top-ranked Carthage battled No. 6 |

| 19 | 19 | | Wimberley High School for the state crown at AT&T Stadium in |

| 20 | 20 | | Arlington; delivering impressive performances on both sides of the |

| 21 | 21 | | ball, the Bulldogs capitalized on forced turnovers and controlled |

| 22 | 22 | | the line of scrimmage, building an insurmountable 35-0 halftime |

| 23 | 23 | | lead and going on to triumph by the final score of 42-0; with the |

| 24 | 24 | | victory, Carthage collected its ninth state title, adding to its |

| 25 | 25 | | championships won in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, and |

| 26 | 26 | | 2020, and ended the season with a perfect 16-0 record; and |

| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, Carthage was led in the title game by Connor Cuff and |

| 28 | 28 | | Jakerrian Roquemore, the game's respective Offensive and Defensive |

| 29 | 29 | | Most Valuable Players, and by Noah Paddie, who tied a 4A state final |

| 30 | 30 | | record with 191 receiving yards; the Bulldogs also received |

| 31 | 31 | | valuable contributions throughout the year from each member of the |

| 32 | 32 | | roster, and these talented student-athletes were ably guided by |

| 35 | 35 | | WHEREAS, By accomplishing the rare feat of winning a ninth |
