| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, DeLora Wilkinson of Houston has distinguished |

| 6 | 6 | | herself through her achievements in the field of real estate; and |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of her 40-year career, Ms. Wilkinson |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | has held a number of sales and executive management positions; she |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | served as president of the Houston Association of Realtors in 1986, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and she has completed several terms on the board of directors of the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | National Association and Texas Association of Realtors; in 2017, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | she was appointed to the Texas Real Estate Commission as a broker |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | member, and she has further served the organization as a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | commissioner and liaison to the Education Standards Advisory |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Committee; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Wilkinson is a former chair of the Houston |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Northwest Chamber of Commerce, and she served on the Houston |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Economic Development Committee of the Greater Houston Chamber of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Commerce; she was also the founding president of the Foundation for |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | the Arts and Cultural Enhancement and treasurer of the Texas |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Independent College Fund Board of Directors from 1997 to 2004; in |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | addition, she has been involved in the Visions for Greater Houston |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | steering committee and the Adults Relating to Kids Group; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Among her many accolades, Ms. Wilkinson has |

| 25 | 25 | | received the Houston Realtor of the Year award and the John E. Wolf |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Citizenship Award from the Houston Association of Realtors, the |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Omega Tau Rho Award and 40 year Emeritus Honor from the National |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Association of Realtors, and the Citizen of the Year award from the |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce; she holds Certified Real |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Estate Brokerage Manager and Graduate, Realtor Institute |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | designations; and |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, A leader in her profession, DeLora Wilkinson has |

| 33 | 33 | | earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues and clients |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | alike, and she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her |

| 35 | 35 | | accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |

| 36 | 36 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 37 | 37 | | Legislature hereby commend DeLora Wilkinson of Houston for her |

| 38 | 38 | | achievements in the field of real estate and extend to her sincere |
