| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary student received well-deserved |

| 6 | 6 | | recognition when Christian Campos was named a University of Texas |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | at El Paso Top Ten Senior for 2023; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Presented by the UTEP Alumni Association, the award |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | recognizes the university's most promising graduating or recently |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | graduated seniors; honorees are chosen on the basis of multiple |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | criteria, including academic achievement, involvement, leadership, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and service, both in the community and on campus; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A biological sciences major, Christian Campos has |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | held numerous leadership roles in the Collegiate Double T Health |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Professions Honor Society, and he has assisted with grant writing |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and other volunteer endeavors for a number of local nonprofits, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | including RotaCare El Paso Free Clinic and HOLA Amigos Homeless |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Clinic; he has also been instrumental in connecting UTEP with |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | various civic organizations such as the American Red Cross, Prevent |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Blindness Texas, and the Lee & Beulah Moor Children's Home; in the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | future, he plans to attend Baylor College of Medicine and become a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | physician assistant; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Through the dedication he has demonstrated in all |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | his endeavors, Christian Campos has built a strong foundation for |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | continued achievement, and he is indeed deserving of this |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | prestigious accolade; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Christian Campos on his receipt of |

| 29 | 29 | | a 2023 Top Ten Seniors Award from the UTEP Alumni Association and |

| 30 | 30 | | extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
