| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An exemplary student received well-deserved |

| 6 | 6 | | recognition when Alejandra Prieto Moreno was named a University of |

| 7 | 7 | | Texas at El Paso Top Ten Senior for 2023; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Presented by the UTEP Alumni Association, the award |

| 9 | 9 | | recognizes the university's most promising graduating or recently |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | graduated seniors; honorees are chosen on the basis of multiple |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | criteria, including academic achievement, involvement, leadership, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and service, both in the community and on campus; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Alejandra Prieto Moreno, an accounting major, came |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | to UTEP from Chihuahua, Mexico, and over the course of her time at |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the university, she has served as president of Miners Against |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Hunger and as an intern with Deloitte; in addition, she has given |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | generously of her time and talents to the GECU Volunteer Income Tax |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Assistance program; in the future, she plans to work for Hunt |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Companies while pursuing her master's degree in accountancy before |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | returning to Deloitte, and she hopes to one day open an accounting |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | firm in El Paso with her siblings; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Through the dedication she has demonstrated in all |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | her endeavors, Alejandra Prieto Moreno has built a strong |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | foundation for continued achievement, and she is indeed deserving |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | of this prestigious accolade; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Alejandra Prieto Moreno on her |
