 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Homero Roel Villarreal
 Jr. of Robstown were deeply saddened by his death on September 22,
 2020, at the age of 33; and
 WHEREAS, The only child of Homero Roel Villarreal Sr. and
 Matilde Amezquita Villarreal, Homer Villarreal was born in Corpus
 Christi on January 15, 1987; he traveled frequently throughout
 South Texas with his parents as they worked in behalf of civil
 rights and managed a newspaper, and along the way, he learned about
 sales, graphic arts, and sociopolitical and economic systems; after
 graduating from Robstown High School, he attended Del Mar College;
 when applying for a clerical job with a home health business, he
 walked into the wrong interview room and landed himself a position
 as its marketing coordinator instead; and
 WHEREAS, Eventually, Mr. Villarreal founded his own
 marketing and multimedia company, IXPOSE; his charming, outgoing
 personality served him well in responsibilities that ranged from
 promoting wrestling to squiring a Chinese business delegation
 around town; in addition, he served as a marketing representative
 for actor Pepe Serna, sponsored events for actor Edward James
 Olmos, and edited an independent film, Anastasia; he was especially
 proud of his anti-bullying film produced for the Robstown
 Independent School District, titled ENOUGH; in his last years, as
 he battled a terminal illness, he found strength and solace in his
 faith and defied his doctor's predictions many times; he managed to
 continue part-time employment in marketing for two dental offices
 and even set new sales and client recruitment records; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Villarreal and Selina Benavidez were blessed
 with two sons, Homer and Nicolas; he later enjoyed a fulfilling
 relationship with Monica Duran, and they became the parents of two
 children, Roel and Felix; and
 WHEREAS, Although Homer Villarreal is deeply missed by those
 he left behind, they will forever treasure their memories of his
 unfailing good humor and his warm and thoughtful ways; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Homer Villarreal
 Jr. and extend sincere sympathy to his loved ones; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Homer
 Villarreal.
