55 WHEREAS, Jamie-Lynne Brown Rosas has distinguished herself
66 as a member of Class VIII of the RGV Leadership program in 2023; and
77 WHEREAS, Established in 2014 as an initiative of the Rio
88 Grande Valley Partnership, RGV Leadership promotes the importance
99 of collaboration and engagement between citizens of Starr, Hidalgo,
1010 Willacy, and Cameron Counties; and
1111 WHEREAS, Meeting regularly over the course of a nine-month
1212 period, program participants cultivate relationships with leaders
1313 across the four-county region and explore a number of pressing
1414 issues, including health care, water security, economics, higher
1515 education, transportation, and infrastructure; and
1616 WHEREAS, By taking part in this prestigious program,
1717 Jamie-Lynne Brown Rosas has gained a more comprehensive
1818 understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing her fellow
1919 residents, as well as a renewed dedication to civic engagement, and
2020 it is a pleasure to join in recognizing her for this notable
2121 accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2323 Legislature hereby congratulate Jamie-Lynne Brown Rosas on
2424 graduating as a member of Class VIII of RGV Leadership and extend to
2525 her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2626 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2727 prepared for Ms. Brown Rosas as an expression of high regard by the
2828 Texas House of Representatives.
