| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Established in 2014 as an initiative of the Rio |

| 8 | 8 | | Grande Valley Partnership, RGV Leadership promotes the importance |

| 9 | 9 | | of collaboration and engagement between citizens of Starr, Hidalgo, |

| 10 | 10 | | Willacy, and Cameron Counties; and |

| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Meeting regularly over the course of a nine-month |

| 12 | 12 | | period, program participants cultivate relationships with leaders |

| 13 | 13 | | across the four-county region and explore a number of pressing |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | issues, including health care, water security, economics, higher |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | education, transportation, and infrastructure; and |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, By taking part in this prestigious program, |

| 17 | 17 | | Priscilla N. Frias has gained a more comprehensive understanding of |

| 18 | 18 | | the challenges and opportunities facing her fellow residents, as |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | well as a renewed dedication to civic engagement, and it is a |

| 20 | 20 | | pleasure to join in recognizing her for this notable |

| 21 | 21 | | accomplishment; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
