R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Patriot Day BBQ Bash is taking place in Ennis on
September 8 and 9, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Held each fall, this much-anticipated event is
sponsored by the Ennis Chamber of Commerce and is sanctioned by the
Outlaw BBQ Association as one of the organization's state
championship cook-offs; the contest attracts accomplished
pitmasters from across Texas who put their culinary skills to the
test as they vie for top honors in several different categories,
including brisket, pork ribs, and chicken; and
WHEREAS, In addition to great food and spirited competition,
guests can enjoy historic downtown Ennis and local shopping, as
well as other community attractions and events; and
WHEREAS, A fun occasion for all ages, the Patriot Day BBQ Bash
is a fitting celebration of the tasty fare that is such an integral
part of Texas culture, and it promises to be a source of fond
memories for countless residents and visitors; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the 2023 Patriot Day BBQ Bash and
extend to the organizers, participants, and attendees sincere best
wishes for a successful and enjoyable event.
