|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Following a strong showing at the district meet, |

| 10 | 10 | | where they won the title, the Lady Hounds placed second at |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | regionals, with seven runners qualifying for state; on November 4, |

| 12 | 12 | | the Gruver athletes joined the other top cross country squads in |

| 13 | 13 | | Texas at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock to contend for the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | championship; entering the event ranked No. 5 in Class 2A, the Lady |

| 15 | 15 | | Hounds rose to the occasion and claimed the silver medal in the team |

| 16 | 16 | | competition with a cumulative place score of 139; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Gruver was paced by Brenna Butler, who recorded a |

| 18 | 18 | | top-20 finish with a time of 13 minutes, 19.6 seconds, on the |

| 19 | 19 | | two-mile course; she was followed by Brianna Martinez, who crossed |

| 20 | 20 | | the line in 13:52.0, Makenlei Vasquez, who finished in 13:52.4, and |

| 21 | 21 | | Tyerin Aranda, who clocked in at 14:05.6; rounding out the field for |

| 22 | 22 | | the Lady Hounds were Presley East at 14:08.0, Ilana Rodriguez at |

| 23 | 23 | | 14:45.2, and Ella Babbs at 15:20.7; and |

| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, The Gruver Lady Hounds have distinguished |

| 25 | 25 | | themselves through their skill, hard work, and enduring commitment |
