| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The members of the YTP Association in El Paso are |

| 6 | 6 | | making a positive difference in the local community by representing |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | the interests of their neighborhood; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The YTP Association empowers and engages area |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | residents through advocacy and the coordination of projects and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | activities; the group strives to build strong relationships among |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | neighbors, and it serves as a unified voice in city government; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, This year marks the 20th anniversary since the City |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | of El Paso registered its first neighborhood association in 2003, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and today, the city boasts numerous such organizations; as part of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the El Paso community, the YTP Association contributes to the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | vibrancy and growth of a forward-looking city that is committed to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the safety and beautification of neighborhoods and to providing |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | residents with outstanding recreational, cultural, and educational |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | opportunities; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The vitality of a community depends in large measure |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | on the vision and dedication of concerned citizens, and through |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | their endeavors, the members of the YTP Association are helping to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | improve the quality of life in El Paso; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby commend the YTP Association for its service to |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the El Paso community and extend to its members sincere best wishes |

| 27 | 27 | | for the future; and, be it further |
