| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, For more than seven and a half decades, Nita Lamb has |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | rendered exceptional service to her fellow citizens through her |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | dedicated efforts as a clerk for Anderson County; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Nita Lamb began her career in the Anderson County |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Clerk's Office in January 1946 at the age of 17, and she has since |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | served in a total of 12 county offices; she was a member of the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | county judge's office from 1969 until 1982, when she retired as a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | full-time employee; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, At present, Mrs. Lamb is working for the Anderson |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | County judge and at all four of the county's justice of the peace |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | offices on a part-time basis; revered for her honesty, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | dependability, and impeccable work ethic, she is quick to report to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | duty when called upon, and she has endeared herself to her |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | colleagues with her kindness and generosity, as well as the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | delicious homemade treats that she frequently shares with her |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | coworkers; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The skill, professionalism, and commitment to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | excellence demonstrated by Nita Lamb have made her an important |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | asset to Anderson County, and she may indeed reflect with pride on |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | her myriad contributions; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commend Nita Lamb for her longtime service to |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Anderson County and extend to her sincere best wishes for the |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | future; and, be it further |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
