5	5	WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
6	6	passing of Michael Don Warren of Flower Mound on July 28, 2022, at
7	7	the age of 77; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Born in Pittsburg, Texas, on March 8, 1945, to Jim
9	9	Bob and Fern Ellen Warren, Mike Warren grew up with the
10	10	companionship of two brothers, Jim and Gary; after graduating from
11	11	Athens High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and
12	12	went on to serve as an aircraft maintenance specialist; he was
13	13	deployed to Thailand during the Vietnam War, and upon being
14	14	honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant, he returned to Athens
15	15	and embarked on a career in law enforcement; and
16	16	WHEREAS, Mr. Warren worked as a Kaufman police officer, a
17	17	deputy of water safety in Henderson County, and a Henderson County
18	18	constable; in 1972, he began pursuing his lifelong dream of
19	19	becoming a Texas game warden, and he was assigned to his first duty
20	20	station in Center; he later found his way back to Athens, and he
21	21	served the Henderson County community for several decades before
22	22	retiring from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department on December
23	23	31, 2002; and
24	24	WHEREAS, While employed in Kaufman, Mr. Warren met the love
25	25	of his life, the former Paula Jean Evans, whom he wed in February
26	26	1972; during their five decades of marriage, the couple shared in
27	27	the joy of raising a daughter, Micha Dawn, and they later welcomed
28	28	into their family a cherished granddaughter, Trinity; and
29	29	WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to his faith, Mr. Warren found
30	30	fulfillment in his volunteer service at Cayuga Drive Baptist Church
31	31	and Dogwood Baptist Church for more than 30 years; he benefited his
32	32	congregation as a deacon and in various other capacities, and he
33	33	enjoyed supporting Bobby Farley's ministry in Belize by taking
34	34	trips to deliver supplies; and
35	35	WHEREAS, Although he is greatly missed, Mike Warren has left
36	36	his loved ones with many treasured memories, and they will forever
37	37	hold him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
38	38	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
39	39	Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Michael Don Warren and
40	40	extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
41	41	Paula Warren; to his daughter, Micha Clark, and her husband, T. J.;
42	42	to his granddaughter, Trinity Clark; to his brothers, Jim Bob
43	43	Warren and Gary Wayne Warren, and their spouses, Quita Warren and
44	44	Toni Warren; to his brother-in-law, Coy Wayne Evans, and his wife,
45	45	Darlene; to his sister-in-law, Tamara Warren; to his nieces and
46	46	nephews, Misty Warren, Trae Warren, Shelly Warren-Weiss, Kelly
47	47	Warren, Quinn Glass, Coy Glen Evans, Rusty Evans, and Renee Evans;
48	48	and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
49	49	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
50	50	prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
51	51	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mike
52	52	Warren.
