R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Willow Creek Adult Day Care is marking its 25th
anniversary with a celebration on June 16, 2023, in Eagle Pass; and
WHEREAS, Founded by Raymundo, Saul, and Rosantina Fernandez,
Willow Creek Adult Day Care started out with only one client and one
additional employee when it opened its doors on June 1, 1998; the
day care operated out of a rented space on North Bibb Avenue in
Eagle Pass until it reached its capacity in the early 2000s, at
which point the owners purchased the building and expanded their
operation; they opened a second location in Del Rio in November
2006; and
WHEREAS, Though it faced challenges during the COVID-19
pandemic, Willow Creek Adult Day Care continued to provide services
to some of the area's most vulnerable residents, and it has remained
a valuable community resource; and
WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses play an
important role in furthering the prosperity of towns throughout
Texas, and all those associated with Willow Creek Adult Day Care may
take great pride in the contributions that the company has made to
the Eagle Pass community and beyond over the past 25 years; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the 25th anniversary of Willow Creek
Adult Day Care and extend to the Fernandez family and their
employees sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Willow Creek Adult Day Care as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
