| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Willow Creek Adult Day Care is marking its 25th |

| 6 | 6 | | anniversary with a celebration on June 16, 2023, in Eagle Pass; and |

| 7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Founded by Raymundo, Saul, and Rosantina Fernandez, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Willow Creek Adult Day Care started out with only one client and one |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | additional employee when it opened its doors on June 1, 1998; the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | day care operated out of a rented space on North Bibb Avenue in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Eagle Pass until it reached its capacity in the early 2000s, at |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | which point the owners purchased the building and expanded their |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | operation; they opened a second location in Del Rio in November |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 2006; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Though it faced challenges during the COVID-19 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | pandemic, Willow Creek Adult Day Care continued to provide services |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | to some of the area's most vulnerable residents, and it has remained |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | a valuable community resource; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses play an |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | important role in furthering the prosperity of towns throughout |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Texas, and all those associated with Willow Creek Adult Day Care may |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | take great pride in the contributions that the company has made to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | the Eagle Pass community and beyond over the past 25 years; now, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 25th anniversary of Willow Creek |

| 27 | 27 | | Adult Day Care and extend to the Fernandez family and their |

| 28 | 28 | | employees sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
