| 6 | 6 | | gathering in Austin on February 14, 2023, to celebrate Cedar Creek |

| 7 | 7 | | Lake Day at the State Capitol; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, More than 50,000 Texans reside near Cedar Creek |

| 9 | 9 | | Lake, which encompasses over 30,000 acres and features more than |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 200 miles of picturesque shoreline; locals and tourists alike take |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | advantage of the lake by engaging in a wide range of outdoor |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | activities, including boating, fishing, swimming, camping, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | golfing; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, With a healthy blend of residential and business |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | interests, the region has much to offer citizens of over a dozen |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | quaint towns, and while all of these towns are proud of their |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | individual identities, they also together share the values and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | ideals of a caring, close-knit community; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Cedar Creek Lake is one of our state's true |

| 20 | 20 | | treasures, and residents justifiably take great pride in the beauty |

| 21 | 21 | | and character of the surrounding area; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby recognize February 14, 2023, as Cedar Creek Lake |

| 24 | 24 | | Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to the visiting |
