55 WHEREAS, David Christopher Matl has been named
66 co-valedictorian of the Class of 2023 at Incarnate Word Academy in
77 Corpus Christi, and he indeed merits special recognition for
88 receiving this significant honor; and
99 WHEREAS, Earning the title of co-valedictorian requires not
1010 only intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to
1111 the highest academic standards; in securing his place as one of the
1212 two top-ranking students in his class, Mr. Matl demonstrated a
1313 thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his
1414 attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement
1515 of a notable high school career; and
1616 WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being
1717 recognized for his hard work, he has gained the opportunity to
1818 address his fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on their
1919 shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and
2020 WHEREAS, During his years at Incarnate Word Academy, David
2121 Christopher Matl has earned the respect and admiration of both his
2222 teachers and classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and
2323 commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and
2424 promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore,
2525 be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2727 Legislature hereby congratulate David Christopher Matl on
2828 graduating as co-valedictorian of the Incarnate Word Academy Class
2929 of 2023 and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
3030 as he begins the next exciting chapter of his life.
