| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Saad Nadeem celebrated a significant milestone in |

| 6 | 6 | | his life in May 2023, when he graduated from the University of |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | Houston; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Demonstrating impressive commitment to his studies, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Mr. Nadeem graduated with a triple major in health, human nutrition |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and foods, and exercise science and a triple minor in biology, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | business administration, and management and leadership; |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | furthermore, he maintained a 4.0 grade point average while managing |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | his challenging course load, and he was one of eight students from |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the College of Education recognized as "banner bearers" at the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | commencement ceremony for their high GPAs; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Among his many other accolades, Mr. Nadeem has been |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | honored with the university's Dean's Award, Legacy Award, and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Global Citizens Credential; he is also a recipient of the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | President's Volunteer Service Award gold medallion; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Nadeem was born in Pakistan, and he immigrated |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | to the United States with his family at the age of 5; he grew up in |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Clear Lake and earned two associate's degrees at San Jacinto |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | College while in high school; a first-generation college graduate, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | he has been accepted to a Texas medical school and plans to become a |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | doctor; and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | outstanding young man, and it is a pleasure to join his family and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | friends in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | promise; now, therefore, be it |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 31 | 31 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Saad Nadeem on his graduation from |

| 32 | 32 | | the University of Houston and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
