55 WHEREAS, Isaiah Gomez has been named valedictorian of the
66 Class of 2023 at Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, and he
77 indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant
88 honor; and
99 WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
1010 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
1111 highest academic standards; in securing his place as the
1212 top-ranking student in his class, Mr. Gomez demonstrated a thorough
1313 understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his attainment of
1414 this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable
1515 high school career; and
1616 WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being
1717 recognized for his hard work, Mr. Gomez has gained the opportunity
1818 to address his fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on
1919 their shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and
2020 WHEREAS, During his years at Mary Carroll High School, Isaiah
2121 Gomez has earned the respect and admiration of both his teachers and
2222 classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and commitment
2323 to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future
2424 for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it
2525 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2626 Legislature hereby congratulate Isaiah Gomez on graduating as
2727 valedictorian of the Mary Carroll High School Class of 2023 and
2828 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins
2929 the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further
3030 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3131 prepared for Mr. Gomez as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3232 House of Representatives.
