44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Maharshi J. Patel has been named salutatorian of the
66 Class of 2023 at Veterans Memorial High School in Corpus Christi,
77 and he indeed merits special recognition for receiving this
88 significant honor; and
99 WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
1010 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
1111 highest academic standards; in securing his place as one of the two
1212 top-ranking students in his class, Mr. Patel demonstrated a
1313 thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his
1414 attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement
1515 of a notable high school career; and
1616 WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being
1717 recognized for his hard work, Mr. Patel has gained the opportunity
1818 to address his fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on
1919 their shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; and
2020 WHEREAS, During his years at Veterans Memorial High School,
2121 Maharshi J. Patel has earned the respect and admiration of both his
2222 teachers and classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and
2323 commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and
2424 promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore,
2525 be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2727 Legislature hereby congratulate Maharshi J. Patel on graduating as
2828 salutatorian of the Veterans Memorial High School Class of 2023 and
2929 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins
3030 the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3232 prepared for Mr. Patel as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3333 House of Representatives.
