 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Isabella B. Alonso-Cantu has been named
 valedictorian of the Class of 2023 at Roy Miller High School in
 Corpus Christi, and she indeed merits special recognition for
 receiving this significant honor; and
 WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
 intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
 highest academic standards; in securing her place as the
 top-ranking student in her class, Ms. Alonso-Cantu demonstrated a
 thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her
 attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement
 of a notable high school career; and
 WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being
 recognized for her hard work, Ms. Alonso-Cantu has gained the
 opportunity to address her fellow seniors at commencement and to
 reflect on their shared history as well as their hopes and
 ambitions; and
 WHEREAS, During her years at Roy Miller High School, Isabella
 B. Alonso-Cantu has earned the respect and admiration of both her
 teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and
 commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and
 promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Isabella B. Alonso-Cantu on
 graduating as valedictorian of the Roy Miller High School Class of
 2023 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as
 she begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Alonso-Cantu as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
