| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce, formerly |

| 6 | 6 | | known as the West Chambers County Chamber of Commerce, recently |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | underwent a name change to reflect the growth and development of the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | community it has served for nearly 40 years; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Founded in 1984, the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Commerce is a dynamic business organization that works to |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | strengthen relationships between businesses, educational |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | institutions, governmental entities, and the community with the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | mission of ensuring the long-term economic health of the area; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, West Chambers County's economy is largely driven by |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | liquefied petroleum gas production and related businesses, and the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | area is home to Enterprise Products, ExxonMobil, Targa Resources, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Energy Transfer, ONEOK, Covestro, and Chevron Phillips Chemical |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | facilities; the community benefits greatly from the job |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | opportunities provided by these businesses, and families in the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | area are fortunate to be served by the top-rated Barbers Hill |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The population of Mont Belvieu has steadily |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | increased since the chamber was originally established, and it is |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | today recognized as one of the fastest-growing cities in the |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Houston area; as the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber approaches its 40th |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | anniversary in 2024, the organization continues to honor its |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | commitment to supporting businesses and organizations within its |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | service region, including Mont Belvieu as well as Beach City, Cove, |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | and Old River-Winfree; and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, The Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce is |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | dedicated to building an even brighter future for the community in |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | the decades to come, and the members of this outstanding |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | organization are deserving of recognition for all that they have |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | achieved; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | Legislature hereby honor the Mont Belvieu Area Chamber of Commerce |

| 37 | 37 | | as it approaches its 40th anniversary in 2024 and extend to all |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | those affiliated with the chamber sincere best wishes for continued |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | success; and, be it further |
