44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Jake R. Skelton has distinguished himself in his
66 responsibilities as an intern in the office of State Representative
77 Dennis Paul during the 88th Legislative Session; and
88 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Skelton has provided
99 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
1010 in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1111 service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the
1212 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1313 WHEREAS, Mr. Skelton is a sophomore at The University of
1414 Texas at Austin, where he is on the pre-law track and is working
1515 toward his bachelor's degree in Plan II Honors and government;
1616 moreover, he has earned placement on the dean's honor list; active
1717 in his campus community, he has served as a writing advisor for
1818 other UT students, and he has held numerous leadership roles with
1919 Sigma Chi Fraternity; and
2020 WHEREAS, Jake Skelton has performed his duties as a
2121 legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
2222 deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
2323 be it
2424 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2525 Legislature hereby commend Jake R. Skelton for his service as a
2626 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Dennis
2727 Paul and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in
2828 all his endeavors; and, be it further
2929 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3030 prepared for Mr. Skelton as an expression of high regard by the
3131 Texas House of Representatives.
