| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jake R. Skelton has distinguished himself in his |

| 6 | 6 | | responsibilities as an intern in the office of State Representative |

| 7 | 7 | | Dennis Paul during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Skelton has provided |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Skelton is a sophomore at The University of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Texas at Austin, where he is on the pre-law track and is working |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | toward his bachelor's degree in Plan II Honors and government; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | moreover, he has earned placement on the dean's honor list; active |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | in his campus community, he has served as a writing advisor for |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | other UT students, and he has held numerous leadership roles with |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Sigma Chi Fraternity; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Jake Skelton has performed his duties as a |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby commend Jake R. Skelton for his service as a |

| 27 | 27 | | Paul and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in |
