H.R. No. 2195 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Scouts BSA Troop No. 753 in Carrollton is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its founding in 2023; and WHEREAS, Part of the Circle 10 Council, Troop No. 753 was established in 1998, with nine scouts and two leaders; over the years, the group has grown to include some 80 scouts and numerous registered leaders, and it currently benefits from the able guidance of scoutmaster Scott Carlson, committee chair John Ezell, and senior patrol leader Tegh Randhawa; and WHEREAS, The members of Troop No. 753 participate in a wide variety of scouting activities, including monthly camping trips, a week-long summer camp, and a council winter camp, as well as the Philmont Scout Range, Northern Tier High Adventure Base, and Sea Base programs; in addition, the troop offers leadership training courses and a Trail to First Class program for new scouts; and WHEREAS, Scouts BSA Troop No. 753 has provided countless young Texans with opportunities to discover and enjoy the outdoors while developing important skills, and it is indeed a pleasure to join in recognizing this special milestone in the group's history; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature hereby commemorate the 25th anniversary of Scouts BSA Troop No. 753 and extend to all those affiliated with the group sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Scouts BSA Troop No. 753 as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
