| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Gavin Riley Nicholson has ably served his fellow |

| 6 | 6 | | Texans as chief of staff in the office of State Representative |

| 7 | 7 | | Venton Jones during the 88th Legislature; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since becoming a legislative employee, |

| 9 | 9 | | Mr. Nicholson has contributed to the workings of state government |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | firsthand; handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, he has |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | provided vital leadership and played a key role in managing the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | office staff and in carrying out the representative's initiatives; |

| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Nicholson holds a bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | political science from the University of North Texas and an |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | associate's degree from Collin College; he enjoys spending time |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | with his wife and their kitten at their apartment in Dallas, and the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | couple are celebrating their first wedding anniversary in June |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 2023; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | duties as chief of staff with exceptional skill and dedication, and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; |

| 23 | 23 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby commend Gavin Riley Nicholson for his service as |

| 26 | 26 | | chief of staff in the office of State Representative Venton Jones |

| 27 | 27 | | and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
