5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Michael Winston Flower |

6 | 6 | | of Corpus Christi were deeply saddened by his passing on April 14, |

7 | 7 | | 2023, at the age of 60; and |

8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of Winston and Kathleen Flower, Michael |
---|
9 | 9 | | Flower was born in North Platte, Nebraska, on August 5, 1962, and he |
---|
10 | 10 | | grew up with the companionship of his brother, Patrick, and his |
---|
11 | 11 | | half-siblings, David and Linda; in 1980, he graduated from Nelson |
---|
12 | 12 | | High School, and he went on to attend the University of |
---|
13 | 13 | | Nebraska-Lincoln; and |
---|
14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Flower worked for Thermo King and Ikon Solutions |
---|
15 | 15 | | before establishing his own photography business, Parkside |
---|
16 | 16 | | Imaging, where he specialized in weddings and quinceañeras; and |
---|
17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Flower was devoted to his |
---|
18 | 18 | | family; he shared a rewarding marriage with his wife, Michelle, |
---|
19 | 19 | | that spanned 35 years, and he took immense pride in their three |
---|
20 | 20 | | daughters, Anastasia, Allison, and Ashley; a man of strong faith, |
---|
21 | 21 | | he was baptized on May 9, 1999, at First Baptist Corpus Christi; in |
---|
22 | 22 | | his leisure time, he enjoyed watching his girls in various |
---|
23 | 23 | | activities and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers; and |
---|
24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Although Michael Flower will be deeply missed, he |
---|
25 | 25 | | has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories that they |
---|
26 | 26 | | will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it |
---|
27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Michael Winston |
