| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dale Craymer is retiring as president of the Texas |

| 6 | 6 | | Taxpayers and Research Association on July 1, 2023, drawing to a |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | close an outstanding career with the organization that has spanned |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | nearly three decades; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Craymer joined TTARA in 1997, and he served as |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | chief economist before being promoted to president in 2009; under |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | his able leadership, the organization has served as an effective |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | advocate for responsible fiscal and tax policy in Texas and has |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | provided its members with important information, analysis, and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | resources; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Engaged in his professional community, Mr. Craymer |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | is a member of the Business Tax Advisory Committee of Texas and the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | National Taxpayers Conference, and he has served on the executive |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | boards of the National Association of State Budget Officers and the |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Council of Governors' Policy Advisors; before joining TTARA, he |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | served as deputy director of the Office of Budget and Planning for |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Governor George Bush, as director of the Office of Budget and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Planning for Governor Ann Richards, as fiscal analyst for Speaker |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | of the House Gib Lewis, and as director of the Office of Revenue |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Estimating for Comptroller Bob Bullock; he holds a master's degree |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | in economics from The University of Texas at Austin; and |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Craymer enjoys the love |

| 27 | 27 | | and support of his wife, Theresa, and he takes great pride in their |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | children, Kyle, Jason, and Lily; and |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Dale Craymer has greatly benefited his fellow Texans |

| 30 | 30 | | through his skill, dedication, and professionalism, and he may |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent; now, therefore, be |

| 33 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 34 | 34 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dale Craymer on his retirement as |

| 36 | 36 | | extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
