 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Kaye Boehning has been named the Houston District
 Rural Business Owner of the Year for 2023 by the Small Business
 Association Houston District Office; and
 WHEREAS, Each year, SBA and SCORE cohost National Small
 Business Week to recognize small businesses across the United
 States for their contributions to the economy; during the event,
 nine district winners were honored in an awards celebration, and
 Ms. Boehning was selected in recognition of her outstanding work as
 the director of Tomorrow's Promise in Huntsville; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Boehning became involved in education after
 visiting a Montessori school where she was considering enrolling
 her son, and she began volunteering at the school and then working
 there as a full-time employee; after moving to Huntsville in 1996,
 she completed her training in Montessori teaching, and she opened
 her own school, Tomorrow's Promise, on September 2, 1997; since
 that time, the school has grown to encompass multiple locations,
 and today, it operates as a nonprofit organization; and
 WHEREAS, Through her able leadership and unwavering
 dedication, Kaye Boehning has made a lasting, positive difference
 in the lives of countless young Texans, and she may indeed reflect
 with pride on her accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Kaye Boehning on being named the
 2023 Houston District Rural Business Owner of the Year by the Small
 Business Association Houston District Office and extend to her
 sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Boehning as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
