R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Cadance Holland of Gruver High School achieved great
distinction by winning the bronze medal in the girls' 2A pole vault
event at the 2023 University Interscholastic League Track & Field
State Meet; and
WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in
Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 12, Ms. Holland
turned in a notable performance, clearing a height of 10 feet,
6 inches, to finish in third place; and
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
high school track and field athletes, Cadance Holland has ably
represented her school and community, and she will cherish her
memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Cadance Holland on her bronze medal
finish in the girls' 2A pole vault at the 2023 UIL Track & Field
State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Holland as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
