|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, On May 12, the Panhandle athletes joined the other |

| 10 | 10 | | top high school competitors in Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in |

| 11 | 11 | | Austin; though they were competing with only four athletes, the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Pantherettes compiled an overall score of 32 points to finish in a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | three-way tie for the 2A crown; with its exceptional showing, the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Panhandle team collected its second state title in three years in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | addition to winning the silver medal in 2022; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Makennah Austin, Sydney Adee, Grace Sims, and Leah |

| 17 | 17 | | Land contributed all 32 points for the Pantherettes, delivering |

| 18 | 18 | | season-best times in two relay events; running in the order of |

| 19 | 19 | | Austin, Adee, Sims, and Land, the quartet racked up their first 16 |

| 20 | 20 | | points in the 800-meter relay, clocking in at 1 minute, 43.43 |

| 21 | 21 | | seconds, to secure the silver medal; then, with the 2A championship |

| 23 | 23 | | night, the 1,600-meter relay, with Ms. Adee and Ms. Land trading |
