| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |

| 10 | 10 | | Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 12, Mr. Pinkard |

| 11 | 11 | | turned in a notable performance in the triple jump; finding himself |

| 12 | 12 | | in fifth place with only two tries remaining, he soared 48 feet, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 10.5 inches, on his next-to-last attempt to clinch second place; |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A senior at Tascosa High, Mr. Pinkard also competed |

| 16 | 16 | | in the 5A long jump at the state meet, finishing fifth with a leap of |

| 17 | 17 | | 22 feet, 3.75 inches; and |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |

| 19 | 19 | | high school track and field athletes, Ke'Mauri Pinkard has ably |

| 20 | 20 | | represented his school and community, and he will cherish his |

| 21 | 21 | | memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
