| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in |

| 10 | 10 | | Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 13, the quartet of |

| 11 | 11 | | Jayden Watson, Julian Barton, Eugenio Chavez, and Shayne Franks |

| 12 | 12 | | turned in an exceptional performance, claiming the state title with |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | a time of 3 minutes, 29.36 seconds; and |

| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The victory was all the more special because the |

| 15 | 15 | | Panther runners were the first relay team from Follett High School |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | to ever compete at the state meet; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |

| 18 | 18 | | high school track and field athletes, these talented runners have |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | ably represented their school and community, and they will cherish |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | their memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | come; now, therefore, be it |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
