| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Aaron Rodriguez of Seale Junior High School in |

| 7 | 7 | | Texas Science and Engineering Fair, which took place in College |

| 8 | 8 | | Station from March 24 to 25, 2023; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Each year, talented students from across the state |

| 10 | 10 | | complete projects on a wide range of science-related topics; those |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | who advance to the Texas Science and Engineering Fair are given the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | opportunity to present their projects to judges and compete for |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | awards; and |

| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A sixth-grader at Seale Junior High, Aaron Rodriguez |

| 15 | 15 | | is the first student from the Robstown Independent School District |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | to participate in the state science fair; inspired by his love for |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | fishing, he studied how mullets, a common bait fish, react to |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | underwater sound waves; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete in the Texas Science |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and Engineering Fair, this outstanding young Texan has ably |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | represented his school and community, and the dedication he has |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | demonstrated is sure to serve him well in the years ahead; now, |

| 23 | 23 | | therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Aaron Rodriguez on his |
