| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Carlos Phillips II has earned great distinction |

| 7 | 7 | | High School in the Houston Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to the |

| 9 | 9 | | students, faculty, and staff of Booker T. Washington High School, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Dr. Phillips has led the way in fostering a supportive and |

| 11 | 11 | | challenging educational environment on campus; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A quality education is critical to the continuing |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | vitality of our state, and Carlos Phillips is playing an |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | instrumental role in helping students to reach their full potential |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | and become engaged and productive members of their community; now, |

| 17 | 17 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
