6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Throughout the 88th Legislative Session, State |

7 | 7 | | Representative Cecil Bell Jr. has benefited immeasurably from the |

8 | 8 | | outstanding work of his dedicated staff; and |
---|
9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Travis Griffin has demonstrated exemplary |
---|
10 | 10 | | leadership as Representative Bell's chief of staff; he has served |
---|
11 | 11 | | with the Texas Legislature for 10 legislative sessions, including 5 |
---|
12 | 12 | | as a chief of staff with the House of Representatives; he previously |
---|
13 | 13 | | acted as political director of the Republican Party of Texas and as |
---|
14 | 14 | | the first executive director of the Innovation & Technology Caucus |
---|
15 | 15 | | of the Texas House; and |
---|
16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Back for his second session with the House of |
---|
17 | 17 | | Representatives, Kyle Camera has helped carry forth Representative |
---|
18 | 18 | | Bell's legislative agenda in his role as legislative director; |
---|
19 | 19 | | during the interim, he serves as a campaign consultant and project |
---|
20 | 20 | | manager, providing expert guidance to candidates and their staff; |
---|
21 | 21 | | he is particularly known for his abilities in social media |
---|
22 | 22 | | enhancement and graphic and media design; and |
---|
23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Having previously worked in Representative Bell's |
---|
24 | 24 | | office during the 85th Legislative Session, district director Nira |
---|
25 | 25 | | Miller has played a vital role in managing the representative's |
---|
26 | 26 | | district office; a former congressional staffer, she has also |
---|
27 | 27 | | worked on congressional campaigns and coordinated media relations |
---|
28 | 28 | | for think tanks, government agencies, and nonprofits; and |
---|
29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Anagha Uppal has distinguished herself in her |
---|
30 | 30 | | responsibilities as a policy analyst during the legislative |
---|
31 | 31 | | session; involved in renewable energy and sustainability, she is a |
---|
32 | 32 | | data scientist and project manager who has spent time in academia |
---|
33 | 33 | | and worked for nonprofits and for the United Nations; and |
---|
34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, legislative aides John Durr |
---|
35 | 35 | | and Mindy Escobedo have provided invaluable support by undertaking |
---|
36 | 36 | | a wide variety of challenging tasks; Mr. Durr has worked for the |
---|
37 | 37 | | Texas Legislature for five legislative sessions, including two with |
---|
38 | 38 | | the House of Representatives; a student at Lamar University, |
---|
39 | 39 | | Ms. Escobedo has served as a university ambassador, as Zeta Tau |
---|
40 | 40 | | Alpha president, and as recording secretary for the Mexican |
---|
41 | 41 | | Heritage Society; and |
---|
42 | 42 | | WHEREAS, These esteemed public employees have performed |
---|
43 | 43 | | their duties with great skill and dedication, and they are indeed |
---|
44 | 44 | | deserving of special recognition for their fine work; now, |
---|
45 | 45 | | therefore, be it |

46 | 46 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

47 | 47 | | Legislature hereby commend the staff of State Representative Cecil |

48 | 48 | | Bell Jr. for their exemplary service and extend to them sincere best |

49 | 49 | | wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
