| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | of Carl Allen Hill Sr. of Bishop, who passed away on January 14, |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 2023, at the age of 53; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Gay and Joe Bob Crabb, Carl Hill was born |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | on January 18, 1969, and grew up sharing in the companionship of his |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | two sisters, Candy and Sue; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Dedicated to protecting the lives and property of |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | his fellow citizens, Mr. Hill began his career as a volunteer |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | firefighter with Nueces County Emergency Services District No. 3, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | and he went on to become the fire chief for the Bishop Volunteer |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Fire Department and in Kenedy County; he also served as a |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | commissioner for NCESD No. 3 for nearly three decades; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Hill took great pride in his children, Jesi, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Summer, Mondana, and Carl, and as the years passed, he had the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | privilege of seeing his family grow to include 10 grandchildren; in |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he was also a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | valued member of the Church of Christ; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Carl Hill will |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | remember the way he touched their lives with his generosity, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | strength of character, and delightful sense of humor, and he will |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | forever hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | it |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Carl Allen Hill Sr. |

| 30 | 30 | | and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | parents, Gay and Joe Bob Crabb; to his children, Jesi Rivera, Summer |

| 32 | 32 | | Hill and her husband, Miguel Perez, Mondana Hill, and Carl Hill II |

| 33 | 33 | | and his wife, Demeika; to his grandchildren; to his sisters, Candy |
