| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Countless lives were touched by the kindness and |

| 6 | 6 | | generosity of Trinidad Resendez Lopez of Corpus Christi, who passed |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 83; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Eduardo and Ramona Pena Resendez, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Trinidad Lopez was born on September 19, 1939, in San Diego, Texas, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and grew up sharing in the companionship of nine siblings, Lupita, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Manuel, Servando, Felicita, Eduardo, Simon, Oralia, Silvero, and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Hilario; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A devoted homemaker, Mrs. Lopez enjoyed a rewarding |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | family life with her husband, Mauro Lopez, and she took great pride |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | in her children, Brenda, Demetrio, Donato, Benjamin, Rene, Rosanna, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and Olga, as well as the late Mauro Lopez Jr., Mauro Lopez III, and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Angela Lopez, who preceded their mother in death; with the passing |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | years, she had the privilege of seeing her family grow to include |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Drawing strength from her faith, Mrs. Lopez was a |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | valued member of the Guadalupanas at St. Mary Mission in Corpus |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Christi; in her leisure time, she enjoyed watching sports and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | playing loteria; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this treasured |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | woman's love and friendship will always remember her with great |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Trinidad Resendez |

| 29 | 29 | | Lopez and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: |

| 30 | 30 | | to her children, Brenda Flores and her husband, Juan Jose, Demetrio |

| 31 | 31 | | Lopez, Donato Lopez and his wife, Marcy, Benjamin Lopez and his |

| 32 | 32 | | wife, Michelle, Rene Lopez, Rosanna Garcia, and Olga Flores and her |
