| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their |

| 6 | 6 | | memories of Imelda Villarreal Jimenez of Robstown, who passed away |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | on January 20, 2023, at the age of 69; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The former Imelda Villarreal was born in Corpus |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Christi on May 25, 1953, to Joaquin Villarreal Jr. and Maria |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Magdalena Villarreal; she grew up with the companionship of six |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | siblings, Sister Maria Amada, Jose Angel, Luzelida, Joaquin, Jesus, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and Marta Irene; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Embarking on a rewarding career in education, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Ms. Jimenez served for more than two decades as a teacher assistant |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | with the Robstown Independent School District; moreover, she was a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | devoted Catholic, and she faithfully attended St. Anthony Church; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Jimenez was blessed with |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the love and support of her family; she took great pride in her two |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | children, Vicente and Selina, and she also treasured time spent |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | with her three grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Although Imelda Jimenez will be deeply missed, those |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | who held her dear will forever remember the warmth and kindness she |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | brought into their lives; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Imelda Villarreal |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Jimenez and extend heartfelt condolences to the members of her |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | family: to her son, Vicente Jimenez III; to her daughter, Selina |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Jimenez; to her sister, Marta Irene Villarreal-Foley; to her |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | grandchildren, Joshua and Christian Benavides and Emmanuel |

| 31 | 31 | | Jimenez; to her nieces and nephews; and to her other relatives and |
