| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jackson Hughes has distinguished himself in his |

| 6 | 6 | | responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State |

| 7 | 7 | | Representative Joe Moody during the 88th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Hughes has provided |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Hughes is currently studying economics at Texas |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Tech University, where he has earned placement on the dean's list; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | active in his campus community, he is a member of the Tech Economics |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Association and serves as treasurer and community service |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | coordinator for the Future Lawyers of Today organization; moreover, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | he previously completed an internship with the Fort Bend County |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | District Attorney's Office; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Jackson Hughes has performed his duties as a |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby commend Jackson Hughes for his service as a |

| 26 | 26 | | legislative intern in the office of State Representative Joe Moody |

| 27 | 27 | | and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
