 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, May 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the
 Innovation Collaborative, providing a fitting opportunity to
 recognize the organization for its contributions to education
 throughout the country; and
 WHEREAS, Established in 2013, the Innovation Collaborative
 is a national transdisciplinary forum that aims to foster
 creativity, innovation, and equity in teaching and learning; the
 organization identifies, conducts, and disseminates research on
 the ways in which effective intersections of the arts, sciences,
 humanities, engineering, math, and technology can reinforce
 creative thinking and lifelong learning; in addition, the
 collaborative encourages networking across disciplines and
 institutions in both formal and informal settings; and
 WHEREAS, The Innovation Collaborative is an affiliate of the
 Network for Sciences, Engineering, Arts and Design, which is an
 initiative of the National Science Foundation, National Education
 Association, and the National Endowment for the Humanities; since
 its inception, the collaborative has developed an active Research
 Thought Leaders group consisting of notable researchers in the
 arts, sciences, and humanities, as well as a multi-year national
 research project to identify practices that support creative and
 innovative thinking in kindergarten through 12th grade; moreover,
 the group has delivered presentations at a number of national
 conferences and offered research-based professional STEAM
 development to teachers, administrators, and schools across the
 United States; and
 WHEREAS, The Innovation Collaborative benefits from the able
 guidance of its founder and executive director, Lucinda Presley,
 and its strategic advisor, Dr. Jonathan Katz; and
 WHEREAS, True to its mission, the Innovation Collaborative
 has demonstrated an admirable commitment to promoting a diverse,
 equitable, and inclusive society in which students are engaged and
 empowered to become the critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders
 of tomorrow; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby commemorate the 10th anniversary of the
 Innovation Collaborative and extend to all those associated with
 the organization sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the collaborative as an expression of high regard by
 the Texas House of Representatives.
