 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Natalie Villafranca has distinguished herself in
 her responsibilities as a PowerHouse Texas Policy Fellow and aide
 in the office of State Representative Rafael Anchía during the 88th
 Legislative Session; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Villafranca has
 provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging
 tasks, and she has focused her efforts on such critical issues as
 energy, the environment, and immigration; and
 WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of Dallas,
 Ms. Villafranca recently completed a master's degree in biology at
 Texas State University, and she plans on pursuing a doctorate in
 marine and environmental biology at the University of Southern
 California; in the course of her academic career, she has
 contributed to research at the undergraduate and graduate levels,
 and she has authored several publications; she belongs to the Beta
 Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, the Society for Advancement of
 Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science, and the Society
 for Integrative and Comparative Biology; and
 WHEREAS, Natalie Villafranca has performed her duties as a
 legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Natalie Villafranca for her service as a
 PowerHouse Texas Policy Fellow and legislative aide in the office
 of State Representative Rafael Anchía and extend to her sincere
 best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Villafranca as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
