| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Claire Saldana has distinguished herself in her |

| 6 | 6 | | responsibilities as an assistant committee clerk for the County |

| 7 | 7 | | Affairs Committee and its chair, State Representative Victoria |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Neave Criado, during the 88th Legislative Session; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Saldana has provided |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Saldana is currently completing coursework in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | political science, peace studies, and international and global |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | studies at St. Mary's University, where she is expecting to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | graduate in May 2024; a leader in her campus community, she has |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | volunteered her time as a member of the Iota Beta Chapter of Alpha |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Phi International Fraternity and as a senator in the Student |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Government Association; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Claire Saldana has performed her duties as an |

| 22 | 22 | | assistant committee clerk with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commend Claire Saldana for her service as an |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | assistant committee clerk for the County Affairs Committee and its |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | chair, State Representative Victoria Neave Criado, and extend to |

| 29 | 29 | | her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; |
