R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Justin Vargas Gonzales has distinguished himself in
his responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State
Representative Joe Moody during the 88th Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Vargas Gonzales has
provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging
tasks such as conducting bill analysis, managing correspondence
with constituents, and meeting with advocacy groups; in addition to
gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, he has
learned more about the legislative process and the issues facing
citizens of the Lone Star State; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Vargas Gonzales has previously completed
internships with the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, the
Travis County District Attorney's Office, and the offices of State
Senator Royce West and State Representative Victoria Neave Criado;
he is a government major at The University of Texas at Austin, where
he has served as a member of the UT Senate; and
WHEREAS, Justin Vargas Gonzales has performed his duties as a
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Justin Vargas Gonzales for his service
as a legislative aide in the office of State Representative Joe
Moody and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in
all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Vargas Gonzales as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
