44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, The New Caney Independent School District is making
66 a positive difference in the local community by providing area
77 youth with a solid educational foundation on which to build; and
88 WHEREAS, Serving approximately 18,000 students across 20
99 campuses, New Caney ISD seeks to foster a challenging and
1010 supportive learning environment where young people are equipped to
1111 excel in every aspect of their education; the district offers a
1212 variety of programs, among them advanced digital learning, fine
1313 arts, dual language, and early college, as well as extensive
1414 professional certification opportunities; and
1515 WHEREAS, New Caney ISD is ably guided by superintendent Matt
1616 Calvert, and it also benefits from the leadership of its board of
1717 trustees, which includes president Ty Trout, vice president Creg
1818 Mixon, secretary Elizabeth Harrell, assistant secretary Beth
1919 Prykryl, and members Wendy Sharp, Angela Tompkins, and Chad Turner;
2020 and
2121 WHEREAS, The administrators, teachers, staff, and school
2222 board of New Caney ISD have helped to provide many young Texans with
2323 the knowledge and skills they need to become productive members of
2424 society, and the district is indeed deserving of special
2525 recognition for its significant contributions; now, therefore, be
2626 it
2727 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2828 Legislature hereby honor the New Caney Independent School District
2929 for its service to area youth and extend to all those associated
3030 with the district sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
3131 further
3232 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3333 prepared for New Caney ISD as an expression of high regard by the
3434 Texas House of Representatives.
