| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Tomball Independent School District is making a |

| 6 | 6 | | positive difference in the local community by providing area youth |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | with a solid educational foundation on which to build; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Serving nearly 22,000 students across 22 campuses, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Tomball ISD seeks to foster a challenging and supportive learning |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | environment where young people are equipped to excel in every |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | aspect of their education; the school district spans 83 square |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | miles in northwest Harris County and southwest Montgomery County, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and it has gained a reputation for its unique heritage, traditions, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and hometown appeal; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Tomball ISD is ably guided by superintendent |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora, and it also benefits from the leadership |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | of its board of trustees, which includes president Lee McLeod, vice |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | president John E. McStravick, secretary Justin Unser, assistant |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | secretary Mark Lewandowski, and members Dr. Michael J. Pratt, Tina |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Salem, and Matt Schiel; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The administrators, teachers, staff, and school |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | board of Tomball ISD have helped to provide many young Texans with |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | the knowledge and skills they need to become productive members of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | society, and the district is indeed deserving of special |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | recognition for its significant contributions; now, therefore, be |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | it |

| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby honor the Tomball Independent School District |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | for its service to area youth and extend to all those associated |

| 30 | 30 | | with the district sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it |
