| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Humble Independent School District is making a |

| 6 | 6 | | positive difference in the local community by providing area youth |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | with a solid educational foundation on which to build; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, With more than 48,000 students across 47 campuses, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Humble ISD seeks to foster a challenging and supportive learning |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | environment where young people are equipped to excel in every |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | aspect of their education; the district has served the residents of |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Montgomery and Harris Counties for over a century, and today, it is |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Humble ISD is ably guided by superintendent |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Dr. Elizabeth Fagen, and it also benefits from the leadership of |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | its board of trustees, which includes president Martina Lemond |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Dixon, vice president Nancy Morrison, secretary Chris Parker, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | parliamentarian Ken Kirchhofer, and members Robert Scarfo, Marques |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Holmes, and Robert Sitton; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The administrators, teachers, staff, and school |

| 21 | 21 | | board of Humble ISD have helped to provide many young Texans with |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the knowledge and skills they need to become productive members of |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | society, and the district is indeed deserving of special |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | recognition for its significant contributions; now, therefore, be |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby honor the Humble Independent School District for |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | its service to area youth and extend to all those associated with |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | the district sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
