44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, The Humble Independent School District is making a
66 positive difference in the local community by providing area youth
77 with a solid educational foundation on which to build; and
88 WHEREAS, With more than 48,000 students across 47 campuses,
99 Humble ISD seeks to foster a challenging and supportive learning
1010 environment where young people are equipped to excel in every
1111 aspect of their education; the district has served the residents of
1212 Montgomery and Harris Counties for over a century, and today, it is
1313 one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas; and
1414 WHEREAS, Humble ISD is ably guided by superintendent
1515 Dr. Elizabeth Fagen, and it also benefits from the leadership of
1616 its board of trustees, which includes president Martina Lemond
1717 Dixon, vice president Nancy Morrison, secretary Chris Parker,
1818 parliamentarian Ken Kirchhofer, and members Robert Scarfo, Marques
1919 Holmes, and Robert Sitton; and
2020 WHEREAS, The administrators, teachers, staff, and school
2121 board of Humble ISD have helped to provide many young Texans with
2222 the knowledge and skills they need to become productive members of
2323 society, and the district is indeed deserving of special
2424 recognition for its significant contributions; now, therefore, be
2525 it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
2727 Legislature hereby honor the Humble Independent School District for
2828 its service to area youth and extend to all those associated with
2929 the district sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
3030 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3131 prepared for Humble ISD as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3232 House of Representatives.
